People who haven't started any chats yet get shown a handful of suggested profiles to help them find someone to talk to. If you turn this on, your icon, display name and username may appear as one of those suggestions to other users. Nobody sees this unless you say yes, and you can turn it off anytime in Settings.

Without your backup passphrase, old messages can't be recovered on this device — that's by design, nobody but you ever had it. You can generate a new encryption key and keep using Guhya; you'll just start with a clean slate for message history on new devices.
